If you love pasta – and honesty, who doesn’t? – then a new shop that just opened in Hamilton is probably going to become your new favourite place.
Pasta Mercato opened its own storefront on Locke Street this past weekend, offering their range of fresh, handmade pastas in a range of shapes alongside numerous varieties of homemade focaccia, artisanal cheeses, pantry items, and delicious desserts.

The shop will also be offering readymade “heat and eat” meals, as well as focaccia sandwiches made to order on their own house bread with a meat option and vegetarian option on hand and toppings that will rotate seasonally.
Up until opening their own brick & mortar digs, Pasta Mercato supplied other local grocers with their handmade pasta and was also a regular favourite at the Locke Street Farmers’ Market; so it’s only fitting that their first storefront would also be located along the Locke strip.
Local foodies readily flocked to Pasta Mercato for the shop’s first official weekend, stocking up on all of the deliciousness this new shop has to offer.
Go drool over their Instagram and visit Pasta Mercato in person at 170 Locke Street South!
