Art Battle returns to Hamilton

Get your game faces on because Art Battle is coming back to The Spice Factory Thursday night.
Art Battle is a live painting competition where twelve different artists compete against each other in three 20-minute rounds in order to create the best looking original art.
As they paint, viewers are welcome to walk around the easels and take in each artist’s creative process. The medium used for Art Battle is acrylic paint. The tools most commonly used are brushes and palette knives, but any non-mechanical device is allowed.
At the end of each round, the audience votes for the best painting.
The artists leave their hearts on their canvases, each vying to create the best piece of the night and walk away the winner.
One of the coolest parts about Art Battle is that each of the original pieces of art created that night goes up for silent auction. Anyone attending that particular battle can bid to take their favourite piece of the night home.
Make sure to get your tickets soon, because Art Battle is only in town for one night. The battle takes place Thursday, April 19th and begins at 7:30. Tickets are available through Ticketfly — general admission is $20, while student admission with valid ID is $10.
