Art Gallery of Hamilton is reopening with free admission for the rest of July

After an extended closure during the lockdown, the Art Gallery of Hamilton is set to reopen to the public on Thursday, July 16th.
Admission will be free for the remainder of July as a “thank you to our returning visitors,” says the AGH website.
The gallery will be featuring extended exhibitions Early Snow: Michael Snow 1947 – 1962 and Artist’s Dream: Works of French Symbolism. Information about other exhibitions has yet to be announced as they’ve been changed due to the closure.

Like most other public places, the AGH will be following advanced health and safety guidelines in order to create a safe and stress-free environment.
Visitors showing possible symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the gallery. There will be hand sanitizer stations at the gallery entrance and placed throughout the building. High traffic areas will be regularly disinfected.
What the AGH is asking of its visitors is that they purchase tickets online before arriving and they follow the public health guidelines such as staying six feet away from others. There will be markings on the ground to help guide visitors.
The Horse and Train Bistro, Family Playroom, Research Library, coat room and lockers, water fountains, and interactive components within exhibitions remain closed until further notice.
