Bell Mobility adds Hamilton to 5G coverage

The fifth-generation of mobile networks continue to grow in the Hamilton area. 

Bell Mobility has added Hamilton as one of their 23 Canadian markets to be covered by their latest expansion of its 5G network.

According to an announcement made on Wednesday, Bell is on track to reach 70 per cent of the country’s population by the end of their year through its accelerated network investment program.

Other areas in Southern Ontario are included in the latest announcement including Burlington, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, and London which promises near-instantaneous speeds for downloading, uploading, and streaming.

President of Bell Mobility, Claire Gillies, said that “leading the way in 5G is a key part of Bell’s goal to advance how Canadians connect with each other and the world.” 

Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger says 5G will benefit businesses and residents to help ensure the city’s long term growth.

Rogers expanded their 5G network to Hamilton in September 2021.
