Broken Social Scene to play Supercrawl

Back in May, Supercrawl announced their epic musical line up for this year’s festival. In their announcement, they shared that they have invited many of the festival’s past headliners to take the stage once again. Just when we thought Supercrawl couldn’t get any better, they just revealed their biggest surprise yet: Broken Social Scene will be performing opening night.
On Thursday, September 13, Broken Social Scene will take the main stage and perform from 10:30 pm to midnight.
While it has not been confirmed how many of the band’s members will make an appearance, anywhere between six to nineteen members will be on stage.
The last time the Canadian supergroup took the Supercrawl stage was back in 2011. While 2011 was already the festival’s third year running, Broken Social Scene’s appearance truly brought a shift to the festival as a whole.
After Broken Social Scene’s performance, Supercrawl was no longer just a small, Hamilton festival – it was a major event that had the ability to attract thousands of people from across the province.
Seven years later, Supercrawl brings more than 200,000 people into Hamilton’s downtown core. It is easily one of Hamilton’s most anticipated events of the year.
