Spot for Mexican sushi opens in Hamilton

Ever heard of Mexican sushi? If not, you’re about to! Hamilton just got its first restaurant specializing in Sinaloan-style cuisine including, yes, a Mexican take on sushi.

Sinaloa Factory is now open in Hess Village at 19 Hess Street South, building on the success of its three other locations: two in Toronto, and one in Woodbridge.

A wide variety of Mexican-style meat and seafood dishes dominate the menu, from tacos to ceviche to birria plates to Mexican spring rolls to loaded shrimp appetizers and much more.

But the main draw is the Mexican sushi, which intriguingly fuses Mexican flavours, spices, and ingredients into Japanese-style sushi rolls.

Some of the rolls on offer include the Papi Victor with breaded chicken, cream cheese, avocado, and melted mozzarella; the Tata-Ticho with al pastor pork and beef; or the Culiacán with breaded shrimp, crunchy crab, and chipotle dressing.

Fruit sushi rolls and breaded Mexican sushi also factor into the eclectic menu that’s got no shortage of intriguing choice!
