A Hamilton shop that did triple duty as an electronics store, sub shop, and Caribbean takeaway has closed its doors.
Compu-Electro Accessories was located at 669 Barton Street East by the corner of Barton and Sherman, where it specialized in electronics and accessories like headphones, cellphones, cables, surveillance technology, and beyond.
However, what made the store unique was that it also functioned as Sub Kitchen, a spot to get classic deli-style submarine sandwiches; and KJ’s Caribbean Kitchen, which served up comfort eats like oxtail, chicken roti, Jamaican patties, and more.
It was a quirky combination of businesses under one roof but, sadly, all three have shuttered simultaneously.
No notice of the closure was given, and the store is still listed as open on Google; but passersby on Barton Street have likely noticed that the storefront was recently cleared out.
