Hamilton public health has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at SpinCo on James Street North after three confirmed coronavirus cases were linked to the fitness studio.
Two SpinCo patrons and one staff member were found to test positive for COVID-19, prompting public health to declare the outbreak officially on October 5th.

The fitness studio has said it is cancelling all classes for the next few days, and will be undergoing a full cleaning and sanitation procedure with the aim of reopening the facility to the public on October 8th.
The news of the outbreak comes shortly after the City of Hamilton confirmed 18 new cases of COVID-19 in its daily report for Tuesday, bringing the city’s number of known active cases to 114 and the total number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic to 1,228.
