Downtown Hamilton spot for burritos has closed its doors

A casual spot in Downtown Hamilton for fresh burritos and other Tex-Mex fare has sadly closed its doors.

Mumma’s Burritos was a fairly new addition to the Hamilton food scene: a small chain with a Hamilton location at 96 Main Street East specializing in burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, desserts, and more.

However, signage on the takeaway spot’s door and an Instagram account that’s been inactive since April 2022 means that Mumma’s Burritos is sadly no more.

The Tex-Mex joint even had a second location at 700 Queenston Road, which is also listed as permanently closed on Google.

While it’s sad to see any business in Hamilton close up shop, Mumma’s Burritos was also in a pretty competitive area when it comes to burritos, with Burrito Boyz and Mucho Burrito – both by Gore Park – located a short walk away from Mumma’s.

The burrito chain still has numerous other locations in the GTA including Brampton, Mississauga, and Oakville.
