FirstOntario Centre is the 58th busiest arena in the world

Hamilton continues to be called the ambitious city for all the right reasons. According to Pollstar’s 2018 Mid-Year Top 200 Arenas list, FirstOntario Centre has been ranked the 58th busiest arena in the world.

Between January 1 and June 30, FirstOntario Centre welcomed over 141,000 guests through its doors.

The first half of the year saw many world-class events across all different genres. Through the arena, Hamilton had the opportunity to host the likes of Kevin Hart, Shania Twain, Cirque Du Soliel’s Crystal and a sold-out Stars on Ice show.

Pollstar’s ratings are based solely on tickets sales of live events and concerts; ticket sales for the Hamilton Bulldogs and other sporting events were not included.

FirstOntario Centre has been far busier this year than it was last year.

At the end of 2017, the arena only ranked 106th busiest in the world – ascending 48 spots in only half a year is an enormous leap.

The arena will be hosting numerous exciting events through the second half of 2018. While 58th is a great spot to be, we believe FirstOntario Centre will move even further up the list by the end of the year.

Later this year, FirstOntario Centre will welcome Deep Purple, Marvel Universe Live, the 2018 CCMA Awards, k-pop sensation BTS and many other acts.
