Hamilton event space Sous Bas is closing its current location

One of Hamilton’s favourite subterranean spots for events, experiences, and nightclubbing has announced that it is closing its current location.

Sous Bas posted the news on social media on Monday, explaining that their beloved space at 145 Main Street East will be closing up as the Sous Bas team makes plans to transition in the future.

“Please know this does not mean the end of Sous Bas – just the end of this particular chapter,” wrote Sous Bas in a post on Instagram.

“This was a really difficult choice to make, but we hope everyone will understand and support our decision to end this chapter.  We both just feel it’s time to put our energy into new and different things, and we’re excited about that.”

Thankfully, Sous Bas will still be open for a handful of events in the coming weeks, so locals have a few more chances to experience the space and say goodbye to it ahead of the closure.

There will be some Clubhouse member events, as well as three final “Sous Bas Saturdays” which will revive some of the venue’s most beloved parties.

Sous Bas’ final day of operations at 145 Main Street East will be February 26th. Follow them on social media for more.
