The city has launched a website that will give Hamiltonians the opportunity to continue to shop locally and help our local small businesses during the current global pandemic.
HometownHub.ca provides users access to a database of direct links to where they can buy food, products, and gift cards from a wide array of local small businesses.

Mass closures of non-essential services have forced a lot of Hamilton’s small businesses to find new ways to make an income during the uncertain period of social distancing. Many businesses have had to lay off or even let go of their staff in order to stay within the strict guidelines that have seen many stores and restaurants search for alternative ways to stay afloat.
The website’s mission is to deliver a simple way to connect small businesses with the communities and bring the care, quality, and dedication of local businesses online.
Users are provided with a direct link to local businesses offering online services through delivery, e-commerce, and gift cards through the navigation bar at the top of the home page.
Local businesses can also use the online form to apply to be part of the website and add their services to the list, along with a small description of the business and what it can offer through the online platform.
Well-known Hamilton businesses such as Merit Brewing, VintageSoulGeek, and Motel have already signed up for the service. The list continues to grow, and if you are a business or shopper looking to get involved, visit HometownHub.ca.
