Acceptable items include surgical masks, N95 masks, impervious gowns, gloves, face shields, swabs, and hand sanitizer. Unfortunately, homemade items will not be accepted.
Donated items will be given to Hamilton’s frontline workers, emergency responders, and other healthcare professionals. The city is asking for donations from local healthcare providers, pest control, hospitality providers, nail salons, and construction companies.
Anyone with donations is asked to email ppe@hamilton.ca or call 905 546-2424 ext. 2257 in order to make an appointment to drop off the items at a location in Hamilton.
The City of Hamilton is still trying to convince residents to stay home in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. They have also set up an online evaluation to determine if you are experiencing symptoms of the virus.
