Booster doses have shown to provide robust renewed protection against the infectious Omicron variant of COVID-19, with some protection against infection of any kind and a strong defence against severe outcomes.
To date, 85.2 per cent of Hamilton youth ages 12 to 17 have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. As of this coming Friday, roughly 21,000 youth in this age group in Hamilton will be eligible for their booster dose at the 168-day mark.
