Hamiltonian gets back at porch pirates with poop package

With the holidays fast approaching and the COVID-19 pandemic limiting travel for many, plenty of people in Hamilton have been getting packages shipped to their homes.
This has also been prime picking season for porch pirates as they swipe packages left on front doorsteps throughout the city.
Items being taken from the front of houses in Hamilton has been a problem for some time with many locals posting stories and even video footage on social media of the thieves.
However, one Hamilton resident thought of a way to get back at some of these porch pirates as the problem has become more frequent in their area of the city.
The local Reddit user posted on Thursday that they had boxed a “poop package” to get back at some of the people who have been stealing packages.
The post shows an image of an Amazon box placed on a front door step and another picture showing the box filled with poop.
Redditor Entire-Hamster-4112 posted the thread and said that the “poop package” was taken from their front step within 40 minutes.
Since the thread was posted on Thursday, it has rocketed to being one of the most popular posts in the history of the Hamilton subreddit.
Subreddit admin Aimless27 said that the post has earned the “Stand Tall Like Stelco Tower” community award, an accolade that apparently has never been given out in this sub before.
As of Friday morning, the post had 944 upvotes, 11 awards, and 140 comments.
Hopefully, the mystery porch pirate somewhere in Hamilton is filled with regret after ripping open a package brimming with cat feces.
Bottom line: don’t steal packages!
