Manager of Lime Ridge Mall says shopping centre is not closing despite rumours

After some gossip about CF Lime Ridge Mall started on social media, the general manager of the shopping centre confirmed that it’s not closing

Recent messages and rumours on social media suggested that the mall will close on December 10th due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Lime Ridge’s general manager Liem Vu told Hamilton Mountain News that he was aware of the rumours and they simply were not true.

He added that the mall will remain open while following public health and safety guidelines unless government restrictions change forcing them to close.

Needless to say, it’s been an odd year for CF Lime Ridge Mall. The mall’s corporate owners Cadillac Fairview came under fire for secretly recording visitors to each of their malls including Lime Ridge.

Back in October, it was revealed by the federal, Alberta, and B.C. privacy commissioners that the company had accumulated more than 250,000 images of shoppers in Hamilton.
