Mohawk College reaches record enrolment

With many Hamilton students heading back to school next week, Mohawk College is expecting a personal record-breaking number of enrolments.

The college will welcome more than 13,000 full-time students back to school across their Fennell, Stoney Creek and McMaster Campuses.

Those numbers include 7,200 first-year students, 6,000 returning students and over 3,000 international students.

This academic year also features Mohawk’s highest number of international enrolments, bringing in students from across 70 different countries.

To kick off the school year, Mohawk College is holding a Day One orientation for new students.

The September 4 orientation day at the Fennell campus includes an official welcoming from Mohawk president Ron McKerlie, along with entertainment and free food trucks.

Stoney Creek and McMaster Campuses won’t be left out; college officials will also be on hand Tuesday to officially welcome first-year students.

Here at TrueResident, we hope all students have a fantastic start to their school year.
