New art gallery and cafe is opening soon in Hamilton

Beautiful visual art and terrific coffee will converge at a new art gallery and café preparing to open its doors in Hamilton.
Crown & Press is in the midst of preparing their new combined coffee shop and gallery space, with plans to open soon along Ottawa Street North.
Local art lovers will surely recognize the name behind this new project: Julia Veenstra, a Canadian visual artist known best for her landscape paintings that capture rich natural settings of Canada in vivid colour and texture.
Veenstra recently operated her own art studio along James Street North but, with the impacts of the pandemic, moved her practice to her home along Beach Boulevard.
When open, Crown & Press’ large, art deco-themed space will serve as a showcase for Veenstra’s work as well as the works of other exciting visual artists in Hamilton and beyond.
Visitors will be able to admire and purchase stunning art pieces while also enjoying a cup of coffee or espresso thanks to Crown & Press’ built-in café feature.
It’s an intriguing project and an exciting forthcoming spot to look forward to on Ottawa Street North, and you can follow their progress on social media!
