Chocolate connoisseurs have a new spot in Hamilton to check out.
Coati Fine Chocolate recently opened its stand in the lower level of the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, offering up artisanal ‘bean to bar’ chocolate bars, truffles, and other tempting confectionary.
Owned by chocolatier Christopher Downey, Coati makes use of fair trade and direct trade cocoa beans from all over the world, sources from places like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Guatemala, and Haiti.
The shop features many single-origin chocolate offerings that showcase the unique characteristics and flavour profiles of a specific region’s cocoa beans.
On top of that, Downey also makes a variety of bonbons in flavours like cognac, Cointreau, yuzu, Chai, passionfruit, raspberry, ginger lemongrass, salted caramel, Irish cream, and much more.
Other treats like bear claws and English toffee round things off at this new gem of a chocolate shop that’s already earning strong praise from visitors.
Visit Coati Fine Chocolate at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, and see more on their website.
