Just in time for the chill of winter, a new spot for well-crafted, comforting ramen favouring locally-sourced ingredients has opened its doors in Hamilton.
Menya Kyu – located at 154 James Street South – is the city’s latest spot for authentic Japanese ramen crafted by Executive Chef Yoshiyuki Aiba, who previously worked on the culinary team at the Ancaster Mill.
The menu includes Chintan and Paitan ramens with house-made noodles and quality chicken sourced from Fenwood Farms in Ancaster, but there are also vegan-friendly ramen options for those who don’t eat meat.
On top of ramen, the restaurant offers regular lunch specials including dishes like Karaage Don or Teriyaki Chicken Don as well as curries and other Japanese comfort dishes.
Anticipation has been high for Menya Kyu, which brings another high quality ramen restaurant to Hamilton, and we can’t wait to check them out ourselves!
