New romantic comedy The End of Sex was filmed in Hamilton

Hamilton plays a prominent role in a new Canadian romantic comedy movie currently playing in theatres.
The End of Sex is directed by Sean Garrity and written by Jonas Chernick, who also co-stars in the film alongside Schitt’s Creek alum Emily Hampshire.
The film – which first premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival – follows Josh and Emma, a young couple who send their children away to camp so they can attempt to reinvigorate their sex life.
Hampshire and Chernick share the screen with actors including Lily Gao, Gray Powell, Pedro Miguel Arce, and Melanie Scrofano. Fun cameos by Canadian comedy luminaries like Colin Mochrie also pop up.
Hamilton factors into the film in a huge way; the trailer alone shows numerous shots of the downtown core as well as locations such as Hess Village, the former nightclub Sous Bas, Knollwood Golf Course, and more.
Best of all, locals can catch The End of Sex right now in theatres: it’s currently playing at Cineplex Cinemas Ancaster as well as SilverCity Burlington on top of other theatres across Canada.
