One of the Hamilton Mountain’s favourite restaurants and bars has closed its doors after 16 years in business.
Stoneroads Bar & Grill was a humble fixture of the Concession strip, known for classic pub bites like chicken wings, nachos, burgers, and shareable apps served alongside beer, wine, and liquor.
The spot – a favourite for its old-school, neighbourhood haunt feel – was also known for its events like live music, karaoke, sports nights, and more.
However, shortly after renovations and a rebrand to Stoneroads Lounge & Charcuterie in late 2023, the 533 Concession Street restaurant sadly closed its doors at the end of January 2024.
“It’s with a heavy heart I’m closing due to the cost of maintaining the business” wrote Stoneroads’ owner in a message on Google, which now lists the spot as permanently closed.
It’s always sad to see a Hamilton business say goodbye, but it’s especially true for places like Stoneroads that have felt like a neighbourhood staple for well over a decade.
