Spot for gourmet donuts closes its doors in Hamilton

A Hamilton shop known for its delicious gourmet donuts very suddenly closed its doors at the end of 2023.
Lady Glaze Doughnuts – located at 586 Concession Street on the Hamilton Mountain – was one of multiple Ontario locations of this small business specializing in both mainstay and rotating flavours of donuts that are as pretty to look at as they are tasty.
However, with little warning and after just over a year open, Lady Glaze closed its Concession Street location by the end of this past year, later explaining the decision in a post on social media.
“The decision to close is not one we take lightly, but we believe it’s essential to find a better location that truly complements the spirit of our doughnut haven,” wrote Lady Glaze on Instagram.
“We look forward to the day we can welcome you back to an even better, more doughnut-filled space that reflects the love and joy you’ve shared with us.”
It’s clear Lady Glaze is only saying goodbye for now to Hamilton, but details on their hopes of opening in a different location are still to come.
