Good news for local motorists: the two-way conversion project on a stretch of Queen Street South has officially been completed, and the section of Queen South between Charlton Avenue West and Aberdeen Avenue is reopening for two-way vehicular access starting Wednesday.
The conversion project, which kicked off on Queen South about a month ago, is intended to allow two-way access northbound and southbound for vehicles travelling along the street between Main Street West and Aberdeen Avenue.
Beginning September 9, the Queen St S two-way conversion project between Main St W and Aberdeen Ave will officially be COMPLETE, allowing motorists to travel both northbound and southbound on Queen St S!

Completing the new changes involved the installation of new traffic signals and audible signals at crosswalks, as well as the replacement of sidewalks and curbs.
Next to come on Queen Street South will be a further two-way traffic conversion between King Street West and Main Street West, which is slated for completion some time in 2021.
