Paramedics are often described as real-life superheroes and it’s easy to understand why. EMT work is high stress and high stakes, and dancing is known as a great natural stress-reliever, so it makes sense that paramedics and viral dance challenges might be a good pair.
The ‘Git’ Up’ challenge went viral earlier this year as people started posting videos of themselves dancing to Blanco Brown’s hit song. The challenge has featured everyone from police offices to firefighters to bored teens.
Hamilton’s take on it is a video with two paramedics performing the viral dance routine in front of their ambulance rig. It’s unlikely they leave the Hamilton Paramedic Service for a Broadway gig any time soon, but the video was all in good fun.
The Hamilton Paramedic Service dispatches an average of 230 ambulances per day, so it’s great to see that our paramedics still have some time for a little bit of fun in between the rigours of the job.
