The Hamilton Arts Council launches a ‘years in the making’ history of Hamilton Visual Arts from 1950 – 2000 via the Building Cultural Legacies website along with a corresponding exhibition in the AGH Living Room. Presentations from key contributors, stories of Hamilton’s rise and endurance as a cultural zone, and opportunities to take part it the projects interactive and collaborative components will be featured. This is regional art history presented through a truly collaborative method.

Canada’s Original All-Santa Race is still the biggest and the best! Thousands of Santas are expected to participate in the iRun Santa Burlington 5K, Presented by CHCH, Canada’s Largest All-Santa Race! This is a great family event and a great way to celebrate the season. Ho Ho Ho!

The Gore Park Christmas Market is back and better than ever in Downtown Hamilton for its 3rd consecutive year! Head town to Gore Park for a weekend of holiday entertainment, a free holiday Ferris Wheel, kids crafts, local food, booze in the licensed market and dozens of unique vendors! Hosted by the Downtown Hamilton BIA.
When: Saturday December 7th, 2019 from 1 pm to 5:30 pm, and from 6:30 pm to 11 pm.

This Ugly Sweater-themed holiday beer festival invites all food and drink enthusiasts to taste from some of the province’s best breweries and restaurants. This year, I Heart Beer has partnered up with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario to bring you a delicious Mac & Cheese sampling event provided by neighbouring restaurants using some of Ontario’s finest cheeses.

Featuring 32 of the finest makers of jewellery, textile art, ceramics, visual art, accessories, home decor and much more, Handmade Hamilton’s Holiday Arts & Craft Show will be a great opportunity to find perfect and unique gifts for all those on your holiday list. Hosted in the historical Staircase Cafe Theatre, Handmade Hamilton invites you to spend some time shopping, have a bite to eat from the cafe, and take time to meet up with excellent local makers.
