While the regular Santa Claus Parade in Burlington cannot happen due to health and safety restrictions, the City of Burlington has come up with a creative way for locals to see the guy in the red suit.
Santa’s Holiday Magic Trail will take place in December with Santa riding on the back of an antique fire truck visiting different neighbourhoods in Burlington.
🎅 You better not pout over the Santa Claus Parade, because he's coming to your neighbourhood soon! Santa will be travelling weekends in December through #BurlON neighbourhoods. Learn when he'll be in your neighbourhood at https://t.co/RnXzWW2XSF. #SpotSantaBurlON pic.twitter.com/PmfOimxSQG

In order to keep everyone safe, the City of Burlington is asking spectators to watch Santa drive by from inside their homes or to properly follow physical distancing guidelines if outside.
On December 5th, Santa will be driving through rural Burlington, Tynandaga, Brant Hills, and Mountside. On December 6th, he will be visiting Headon Forest, Palmer, Tansley, and Millcroft.
On December 12th, the firetruck will be passing through Alton Village, The Orchard, Corporate, Pinedale, and Elizabeth Gardens.
On December 13th, Santa will be in Longmoor, Shoreacres, Roseland, and Dynes. Finally, onn December 19th, he’ll be driving by homes in Aldershot, Central, and Plains.
The actual route is being kept secret by organizers in order to prevent people from gathering and waiting for Santa. Sirens and horns will be sounded off regularly by the firetruck and police escort to let people know when Santa is near their home.
Anyone who sees Santa on one of the weekends in December can use the hashtag #SpotSantaBurlON to let others know of his location.
