Beloved James North boutique is closing its doors

A beloved boutique in Hamilton is closing up shop after over a decade in business.
Bichette has been located at 154 James Street North for the past two years where it specializes in well-curated clothing & apparel, accessories, bath & body products, home décor, skincare, and much more.
However, citing both financial struggles and burnout, owner Lauren Ricottone shared the news of Bichette’s forthcoming closure in an Instagram Live in early December 2023, for which the video is still available to view on Bichette’s social media.
“After ten beautiful years serving and shopping with all of you, it’s time for us to move on to a new adventure,” wrote Ricottone in a note on Bichette’s website.
“We have loved every minute of our time with you and are grateful for every memory and moment. Thank you for trusting us with so much.”
Bichette’s beautiful and freshly updated retail storefront at 154 James Street North is now available for rent, and the store is offering its remaining stock at 60 per cent off the original price for everything in store.
An official final date for Bichette has not been announced.
