New chocolate shop opens in former Beanermunky Chocolate in Dundas

One of the Hamilton area’s best chocolate shops may have closed last year, but the storefront’s sweet legacy is continuing forward.
Last year, Dundas lost a gem in Beanermunky Chocolate, which closed its doors at 50 King Street West along the downtown strip after more than a decade in business.
However, only a few months after the chocolatier bid farewell, a different chocolate shop took over Beanermunky’s retail space and has been operating there ever since.
Dundas Chocolate Shop, operated by Toronto-based bean-to-bar chocolate maker ChocoSol, is now open and offering up its range of stone-ground dark chocolate creations in a variety of flavours as well as single-origin coffee beans.
On top of that, Dundas Chocolate Shop features locally-made loose leaf tea from Hamilton’s own Monarch Tea Co, as well as other lovely gift ideas from local small businesses.
