Christmas celebration in Hamilton’s Gore Park with tree lighting, Ferris Wheel

This week, Hamilton residents can visit Gore Park for an exciting holiday celebration that includes the ceremonious lighting of the Christmas Tree of Hope.

The event takes place on Friday, December 1st from 5 pm to 7 pm, bringing heaps of holiday cheer to Gore Park in the form of festive decorations, performances by aerialists, live music, pictures with Santa and princesses, and more; all of which is totally free to partake in.

Plus, locals can take free rides on the Holiday Ferris Wheel, which will remain in Gore Park for complimentary rides from December 1st to 10th, running 12 pm to 8 pm daily.

Of course, the centrepiece of the event will be the lighting of the impressive Christmas Tree of Hope: a tradition since 1976 that endeavours to support the CHML/Y108/Energy 95.3 Children’s Fund through community donations.

Those who want to donate in support of the Children’s Fund can do so by texting DONATE to 30333 to make a $10 or $20 contribution. Donations can also be made by calling 905-521-2310, in person at CHML Studio (875 Main Street East), or online at 900chml.com.

It’s going to be a great way to ring in the holiday season with family and friends, so head down to Gore Park on Friday night and join in on the fun!
