A classic Hamilton pub that closed down a few years back has been reborn.
The Cat ‘N’ Fiddle, located at the corner of John Street South and Augusta Avenue, had been a favourite old-school watering hole in Hamilton for almost 3 decades.
However, due largely to the impacts of the pandemic, the homey pub and live music venue closed its doors back in Fall 2021, leaving locals to mourn the loss of a favourite longstanding institution.
Now, two years later, new ownership has revived The Cat ‘N’ Fiddle with a cozy renovated interior and a similar commitment to approachable, simple staples like beer on draft and a small menu of pub bites.
Shareable appetizers like deep fried pickles, nachos, and jalapeno poppers are met with main dishes like fish & chips, burgers, chicken wings, and quesadillas; all complemented by domestic and imported beers like Budweiser, Stella Artois, and Alexander Keith’s.
Locals are surely excited to see this Hamilton favourite make a welcomed comeback, so check out The Cat ‘N’ Fiddle at 174 John Street South to get your first tastes!
