An annual holiday tradition is chugging its way back to Hamilton next week.
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train is making a stop in Hamilton on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:45 pm in an all-ages event that’s free to attend.
The 14-car train – stopping on the railway tracks at 42 Lawrence Road, on the south side of Gage Park – will be decked out in all sorts of stunning Christmas lights while carrying some live music and holiday cheer on board.

This year, headlining musicians include Australian country music duo Seaforth and Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza, who will play a mix of holiday songs from the traditional and contemporary canons. Rumour has it that Santa himself may also make an appearance!
The CPKC Holiday Train has partnered once again with Hamilton Food Share, encouraging attendees to bring cash donations as well as non-perishable foods including pasta, rice, canned goods, cereal, baby food, and beyond.
“Hamiltonians look forward to the CPKC Holiday Train every year. This event is a magical evening that gets families into the holiday spirit, all while supporting their neighbours in need,” says Radhika Subramanyan, CEO of Hamilton Food Share.
“The donations collected at this event helps thousands of households looking for emergency food support over the holidays and we’re so grateful to the attendees for always giving so generously.”
