Food truck for burgers and more opens in Hamilton

A new food truck has opened in Hamilton that offers up some appealing fast food classics like burgers, hot dogs, and fried fare.

Well, calling the food truck “new” might not be fully accurate. This new spot, simply called The Truck, appears to be a revival of Burger Bus: another food venture that was open in the same bright yellow truck at the corner of Cannon Street and Sanford Avenue until September of 2022.

The menu is largely the same: burgers made with a quarter pound of fresh beef and various topping combinations; loaded fries; all-beef hot dogs; chicken fingers; mozzarella sticks; and KD Bites, which see mac & cheese coated in batter and deep fried.

The prices are also very reasonable, with most menu items sitting south of $10 and making The Truck a good pick for a cheap lunch or dinner.

The Truck is open now at 126 Sanford Avenue North. See more details and a full menu on their social media

the same guy from Burger Bus last year. He is trying to sell the truck but in the meantime opening it up here and there to generate a bit of revenue

Burger Bus food was disgusting and I wouldn’t recommend his food to anybody! The owner was rude and disrespectful as well.
Having said that, The Burger Bus NO LONGER is in business… wonder why!

Just the other day, (June 18) my boyfriend and I noticed it was opened again and decided to entertain our curiosity. New owner named Arule is a CHEF who recently relocated from Newfoundland.
I was skeptical after the last owner so I politely asked him for a sample of a couple of french fries. He gladly accommodated my request. The french fries were perfectly cooked so we ordered the Poutine. My boyfriend is a Frenchman so he was the final say whether we would be back or not. We were blown away. The gravy was perfect and not canned. Th curds were mixed with mozzarella which gave it the extra kick.
If you are ever in the area, you must give this a try. Reasonable prices. We shared the medium and we were full for $7.50. We are going back today. He wants to try the Fish & Chips! I will be grabbing the Poutine again.
I gave some input on different ideas as far as new items on the menu. He was engaged in our conversation so much that we were brainstorming together. I was so happy he was so open to suggestions.
Even if you decide not to eat, just go over & say hello. Tell him Katrina sent you 🙂
The name is The Truck operated by Chef Arule located next to Tim Horton’s on Cannon & Sanford.
