A longstanding gem for fresh pasta in Hamilton has closed up shop.
Vinnie’s Fresh Pasta Factory was an attractive fixture of the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, operating out of the market’s lower level for more than a decade.
However, recent passersby will notice the Vinnie’s stand completely cleared out, and a note from owner Syed Olfat notifying the public of the spot’s difficult decision to close down.

Vinnie’s specialized in freshly made pasta in a variety of shapes available for retail to cook at home, or served in hot pasta dishes made fresh with homemade sauces – like pesto, Alfredo, or meat sauce – and ready to eat on the spot.
A number of prominent spots in this section of the Hamilton Farmers’ Market have closed recently, including Mat Salleh, which left to open its own restaurant on Main Street under the name Bank Robber; or Mystic Ramen, which recently gave up its market bar to open a full-service restaurant on King William Street.
