Hamilton is one step closer to being the home of the largest Tesla sales and service centre in Canada.
The city’s adjustment committee voted unanimously in favour of moving the proposed project forward: one which would see a 60,000 square foot facility for retail and servicing of Tesla’s iconic electric vehicles.

The former Home Outfitters store on the second floor of Lime Ridge Mall has been pegged as the location for the Tesla centre, according to a non-binding letter of intent between Tesla and Cadillac Fairview that was shared to social media in mid-January.
The space will serve as a showroom for Tesla vehicles, as well as a centre offering standard Tesla servicing including software updates, battery replacement, dent removal, and tire balancing and alignment.
Details on next steps for the Tesla centre are still to come, but the facility is also poised to create approximately 50 new jobs upon completion.
