Grain & Grit is hosting a clothing swap

If you love craft beer as much as you love amazing second-hand clothing finds, then Grain & Grit Beer Co. is the place you should be next Monday.
In partnership with The Pale Blue Dot and Good Habit Events, Grain & Grit is hosting a Clothing Swap on October 7 at 6:30 pm at the brewery.
Hamiltonians with closets of clothing to spare are invited to drop off their pre-loved clothing at the brewery or at The Pale Blue Dot’s shop this week starting on October 1. A $5 entry at the door on Monday will allow attendees to browse and pick up some exciting new second-hand finds over a glass of beer or two. Tickets, redeemable for clothing, will be given to people who donated to the event. 100% of the entry fees to the event will also be donated to local sustainability initiatives.
This clothing swap marks the 7th for Grain & Grit, who regularly host the initiative in an effort to help combat the huge amount of textile waste that ends up in landfill each year. This way, perfectly good clothing can find a second home and shoppers can save money on their next outfits!
Since the brewery opened its doors a few short years ago, Grain & Grit’s founders Joe and Lindsey Mrav haven’t just been supplying the Hamilton community with excellent local beer; they’ve also been doing huge amounts of community outreach, hosting countless events and charity initiatives that make a difference in the city.
Monday’s clothing swap is one such event, so make your way down to Grain & Grit, make some clothing buys, and make a difference!
The clothing swap, hosted by Grain & Grit in association with The Pale Blue Dot and Good Habit Events, begins Monday, October 7 at 6:30pm at the brewery (11 Ewen Road). Clothing donations can be dropped off at The Pale Blue Dot or Grain & Grit this week starting on October 1. Admission is $5 at the door. More event details can be found on Facebook.
