The City of Hamilton has released renderings of the final designs for the new public splash pad to be constructed at Woodlands Park in Barton Village.
An ideal way for kids and families to beat the heat, the new splash pad features a fun and colourful design complemented by multiple practical features and amenities.

Based on community feedback and collaboration with the Niwasa Kendaaswin Teg organization, the custom designed splash pad – which will be constructed on the park’s south-facing side closest to Barton Street – will also include a sun shelter, new benches, picnic tables, and more shaded areas courtesy of tree planting.
The exciting new feature to Woodlands Park is sure to become a popular one in the hot summer months, adding a welcomed upgrade to the park that comes shortly after the opening of The Rally Court: a new public basketball court made possible by fundraising efforts spearheaded by Hamilton rock band Arkells.
Construction of the splash pad is slated for this fall. The full design presentation can be seen at engage.hamilton.ca/woodlandspark.
