Hamilton will see some nasty winter weather this weekend

Hate to put a damper on your weekend fun, but Hamilton is in the line of fire for some nasty weather this coming weekend.

According to the weekend forecast from The Weather Network, temperatures will drop to -2 degrees Celsius (feeling like -10) and freezing rain is set to begin overnight on Saturday, carrying over into Sunday morning with a continued 90% chance of an ice pellet storm.

This little nasty blast of wet wintry weather is also expected to feature yet another snowfall. While it thankfully won’t be as severe as the recent early snowstorm the city dealt with, Hamilton is still eligible to receive as much as 5-10 cm throughout the day.

Hamilton commuters who plan to travel anywhere on Sunday are encouraged to leave home a little early, as the unfortunate weather will probably make driving conditions a little slower and sloppier than usual.

But hey, at least we’ll all get to go outside and make ice pellet angels! That’s totally a thing, right?
