Temperatures reached highs of 31 degrees Celsius, sometimes feeling as hot as 40 degrees Celsius. However, today’s weather promises to be slightly more forgiving, with highs of 27 degrees Celsius predicted for this afternoon.
This level of hot weather hasn’t been uncommon for Hamilton this summer. The city has seen a record-breaking trend of extreme heat within the last few months, with the Medical Officer of Health declaring some extended heat warnings for longer periods of relentlessly hot days.
