Indian street food spot closes at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market

Another sad addition in the onslaught of small business closures in Hamilton this month, a delicious gem for Indian street food has shuttered its market stand.

The Flyin G’nosh was located on the lower level of the Hamilton Farmers’ Market for a number of years, serving flavourful, modern takes on Indian street eats like tikka masala plates, tandoori tacos, doubles, and more.

However, the Farmer’s Market stand has now closed up shop, with owner and chef Mandip Kaler refocusing the business on his food truck and catering branches.

Kaler has also been collaborating with other Hamilton businesses like Grain & Grit Brewing who just released the Flyin’ Lassi: a sour beer with mango meant to emulate the delicious yogurt-based Indian beverage.

Though we’re sad we won’t see The Flyin G’nosh in the Hamilton Farmers’ Market anymore, we’re eager to see what this well-loved small business does next in the city!
