Jane Goodall is coming to Hamilton

World-renowned primatologist and anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall is making a special appearance in Hamilton this year.

The 89-year-old leading expert on chimpanzees and prominent advocate for animal welfare and environmental conservation will be a guest speaker at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) on Wednesday, October 11th for a one-night-only engagement.

“Dr. Jane Goodall is joining us for an intimate question and answer session followed by a key-note presentation to the public where she will share stories of her lifetime of experiences and her reasons for hope,” reads a message from the RBG.

The RBG is already anticipating extremely high demand for this limited-capacity event and will soon open pre-registration that will function as a lottery, with entrants chosen at random for the chance to purchase up to two tickets each.

Registration will open on September 8th on the RBG’s website, and will close September 17th at 11:59 pm, at which point a random selection of registrants will be contacted with the opportunity to buy tickets.

Dr. Goodall last appeared in Hamilton in 2019, when she gave a talk at FirstOntario Concert Hall entitled Jane at 85: Reasons for Hope.
