JR Digs Acoustic Christmas Concert returns for an 11th year

Each holiday season of the last 11 years, local TV personality JR Digs throws an annual festive bash and fundraiser. This year’s JR Digs Acoustic Christmas Concert is on December 23rd at The Music Hall in Hamilton.
The first two batches of tickets sold out in less than five minutes each. This incredibly popular holiday event was started as a place for JR Digs to play guitar and sing with his musical friends.

Since the first concert, it has grown and previous concerts have included The Dirty Nil, The Trews, Walk Off The Earth and many other prominent Canadian musicians.
Not only is it one of the most popular December concerts in the city, but it is also one of the largest holiday fundraisers. The Acoustic Christmas Concert is a volunteer run event with 100% of net proceeds going to local charities.
The money raised each year has been donated to local causes such as the YMCA, Wellwood Cancer Centre, Ronald McDonald House, Carpenter Hospice and many others.

The outstanding success of previous concerts has seen the annual event become a pillar for the holiday season to hundreds of Hamiltonians.
JR Digs is best known for his Gemini Award nominated late night show JR Digs: Man With a Van. Digs interviewed bands then had them perform in the back of his van.
This holiday will hopefully be no different from the success of the last decade. The JR Digs Acoustic Christmas Concert starts at 7 pm on December 23rd at The Music Hall inside New Vision United Church (24 Main St. W). Remember, this is a 19+ event.
