Mandarin is opening another restaurant in Hamilton

Hamilton is about to get a second location of popular buffet chain Mandarin.
Though details surrounding the opening are currently scant, signage advertising a forthcoming Mandarin location within the Centre on Barton has appeared in the window of the storefront that most recently held a location of La Vie en Rose.
Heard this was coming to Centre Mall, but just saw the “Coming Soon: Mandarin” sign with my own two eyes.

Since its founding in 1979, Mandarin has become one of the most iconic chain buffet restaurants in Ontario, specializing in all-you-can-eat Chinese-Canadian cuisine.
The existing Hamilton location on Upper James Street has long been a popular spot for special occasions, or simply for those who want to eat their weight in orange chicken and fried rice.
It’s too soon to tell whether this Centre on Barton location of Mandarin will be the full-service buffet experience the Upper James location has, or a more condensed version.
