New spot for delicious jerk chicken and more opens on Locke Street

Jerk chicken lovers have a mouth-watering new spot in Hamilton to check out.
Joey Turks Island Grill recently opened its doors at 178 Locke Street South, in the former home of cozy Italian eatery Rugantino.
The restaurant touts itself as a fast-casual joint specializing in Caribbean eats, from jerk chicken to beef stew to roti and so much more.
The main feature of the menu is the build-your-own bowls, which feature the option to have proteins like jerk chicken, curry chicken, pepper shrimp, or coconut curry chickpea alongside a choice of vegetables and sauces on a base of rice or creamy mac & cheese.
On top of that, you’ll find sandwiches, salads, roti, snacks like beef patties, and even some kids menu items to round things off.
Don’t let the fast-casual vibes fool you: the food at Joey Turks is super flavourful, made with care, and already earning praise from local visitors!
