Steel City Stories tells tales tonight at The Staircase

Who doesn’t love a good story?

Tonight at The Staircase Theatre, local storytelling group Steel City Stories returns with its first fall event, kicking off a series of intimate evenings that feature Hamiltonians telling tales live without a net; no notes, no script, no plans, and all in-the-moment.

Steel City Stories events endeavour to strengthen the Hamilton community and provide an inclusive environment for locals of all kinds to share their stories and build relationships. Like other storytelling nights that precede it, Steel City Stories’ first live event of the season will showcase a variety of local speakers telling personal stories inspired by an intriguing theme with broad possibilities: ‘Left Behind.’

If you’re a fan of live storytelling podcasts like The Moth, you’ll know what to expect here: some stories will make you laugh, some will make you feel, and all of them promise to offer an enlightening peek into the diverse worlds and lives of our fellow Hamiltonians.

So head down to cozy local gem that is The Staircase, grab a drink at the bar, and settle in for an inspiring evening that promises to run the emotional gamut.

Steel City Stories: Left Behind hits the stage tonight, Thursday September 28th, at 7 pm at The Staircase Café Theatre (27 Dundurn Street North). Tickets are $12 and available at the door.
