A first look at the newly opened Royal Connaught Hotel (now condos)

The Royal Connaught Hotel opened its doors for the first time in years on Wednesday. Much of the original architecture with some modern style was revealed inside–a classy, shining revival of a building that has seen harsher days.

A model two-bedroom unit was also open for viewing where they certainly did not skimp on the finer details.

The Connaught, with occupancy expected in spring 2016, will have have 122 luxury condos. Square-footage ranges from 555 to 1,084, with prices starting around the mid-$200,000s.

After that, the second phase will be to reconstruct the penthouse suits; and phase 3 will be the construction of three adjacent condo towers with an expected grand total of 700 units.

The Connaught will be open for public viewing on Saturday, June 7 from 1:00-4:00 p.m..
