Reports are emerging of an explosion at Stoney Creek Airport that occurred just before 2 pm today.
Police and firefighters are currently on the grounds of the small airport, which occurred in one of the hangars.

While the situation is being investigated, local residents are advised by Hamilton Police to avoid the area around 684 Mud Street East.

Traffic in the area was suspended for approximately one hour as 10 trucks rushed the scene.

Police say that no injuries have been reported at this time.
