Grey Harbour Tattoo rises from the ashes in a new location on James North

Hamilton’s Grey Harbour Tattoo has had one whirlwind of a year.

Not only has the James North tattoo parlour had to adjust – like all other businesses – to the strange current realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, but they also faced literal devastation when an arsonist set fire to Grey Harbour’s original studio back in April, practically destroying it.

Then, in true Hamilton fashion, the community rallied to support Grey Harbour amid such an unimaginably rough ordeal, collectively raising over $25,000 through a GoFundMe campaign for the popular tattoo parlour to help it get back on its feet.

Now, a few bumpy months later, Grey Harbour Tattoo is finally seeing brighter days as some brand new signage has officially gone up on a brand new location along James North just across the street from their original one near the corner of James North and Cannon.

The new spot, sandwiched between Saint James Eatery and Needlework, has officially reopened once again for locals to go get inked; a happy ending to a tough and tumultuous tale for the tattoo parlour.

Go check out Grey Harbour Tattoo’s new digs at 172 James Street North, and follow them on Instagram for updates!
