Hamilton’s Grandad’s Donuts sets official reopening date

Donut lovers, rejoice! Hamilton’s iconic Grandad’s Donuts has just announced their reopening date after a few months of closure for renovations.
The beloved donut shop and café has been closed since mid-March to accommodate some significant upgrades and expansions to their James North storefront, meaning Hamiltonians have had to go awhile without their favourites like the Walnut Crunch, Ghost Buster, or Cherry Stick.
Thankfully, the wait is finally over: Grandad’s Donuts will reopen to the public this Friday, June 2nd at 7 am – fittingly, coinciding with National Donut Day.
Locals can expect all their Grandad’s favourites still intact, but with the benefit of a refreshed interior, expanded baking infrastructure, and new features like a takeaway window at the front of the shop.
The past few months have undoubtedly felt difficult for Grandad’s diehards, and it’s exciting to see this classic local staple come back with a bang!
